Optical and inductive inspection systems - working contactless - are the core competence of EVK. The sensor systems are especially constructed in order to grade and sort bulk material “according to colour, shape, size and texture as well as based on chemical and electrical material properties”.

EVK’s business objective is to create “products from technologies” together with its customers.

Generally the following 3 technologies

• Conductivity Imaging

are offered, represented by

• Hyperspectral imaging scanner HELIOS with integrated data processing unit
• multispectral colour line scanners with integrated LED-light and flash technology, and
• material selective metal detectors

The development of these products is based on the distinctive competencies of EVK like:

• techniques in industrial image processing
• hardware development based on analog and digital circuitry as well as FPGA designs
• software development for microcontrollers, DSP and PC
• optics and lighting
• production of prototypes and small series
